There’s so much to do in the Montafon.

Here in the Montafon, no fewer than three mountain ranges meet, each with its own geological history and make-up – the Verwall, the Silvretta and the Rätikon. Together they offer a colourful variety of rocks whose development looks back on a history of up to two billion years. Over thousands of years, this has created a unique Alpine diversity that is reflected in the flora, fauna and cultural landscape of the valley.

You can discover all of these special features through the “Alpenmosaik Montafon” hiking trail concept. On what are currently 34 themed trails – which, together with the four circular routes through the experience areas and the Montafon hut-to-hut circuit, stretch for more than 500 kilometres across the valley’s four experience areas – you’ll learn all sorts of interesting things about the culture, history and geology of the Montafon.
